Sidhu has called Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins a coward and has sharply criticized him. He says that Cummins should have included spinners in the team and you cannot win in the Indian Premier League without spinners. Let us tell you that while batting first in the first qualifier match, the team captained by Cummins was all out for 159 runs and KKR achieved this at the loss of 2 wickets in 13.4 overs. After Hyderabad's defeat in this match, Sidhu has given a big statement during a conversation on Star Sports.
He said, “He is not a bowler who bowls overs. You don't have spinners who can take wickets consistently in the middle overs. You don't have good spinners who can bowl 8 overs. Their biggest problem has been that they do not have good spinners. Your batting has scored 270 runs in all the matches they have won. When you have scored 160 or 170, that is how they have lost.”
Sidhu further said that “Hyderabad are cowards because they think that if they play spinners, more runs will be scored. You have only three bowlers, which include Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan and captain Pat Cummins himself.”
