Delhi: An explosive eliminator match of IPL 2026 is going to take place between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals in New Chandigarh today. Before this big match, only one name is being discussed the most, and that name is Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Before this big match, Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins himself has admitted that his team has prepared many bowling plans to stop this 15 year old young batsman.

Suryavanshi is in amazing form

Suryavanshi has created a stir while playing for Rajasthan Royals this season. At such a young age, he has changed the definition of batting fearlessly. Suryavanshi has broken many big records during the league matches and has emerged as the biggest star of this season. This young player has scored 583 runs in 14 innings at an astonishing strike rate of 232.27, which has given sleepless nights to the opposition bowlers throughout the tournament.

Suryavanshi had scored a century in the last match against SRH

Suryavanshi has already faced Hyderabad team twice this season. In the first match, he was out on a golden duck on the very first ball. But when both the teams came face to face for the second time, they gave a befitting reply and batted stormily against SRH and scored a century. Looking at Suryavanshi’s current form, he can prove to be the biggest threat to SRH in the eliminator match. Cummins is well aware of this.

Cummins accepted this challenge while talking to Geostar.

Cummins said that as a bowler it is always about striking a balance, where you have to understand what you can do better and how you are going to bowl according to your strengths.

Cummins further said that but when there are one or two players in the opposing team’s lineup who can single-handedly turn the match, then you have to spend a little more time in preparing Plan B or Plan C for them.

Cummins told that we will do special planning for Suryavanshi. Even though he had scored a century against us in the last match, I think there were some occasions in that match when we bowled very well to him and kept him calm.

However, on some occasions he was one step ahead of us. So we have learned lessons from that match.

There will be advantage of defeating RR twice in the league stage – Cummins

After this, Pat Cummins also talked openly about whether defeating Rajasthan Royals twice in the league stage would give any advantage in this match. Cummins said that obviously you start afresh in this match, but you definitely learn from the previous matches. We have played two matches against them and have watched the game of many of their players very closely.

Many of our players can remember those matches where they were successful and they can enter this big match with the same confidence. Therefore, it is always good to take the field against a team against which you have won before.
