Sports Desk. The first qualifier of IPL 2026 will be played today between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala. In this match, Virat Kohli will have a chance to make a big record in his name. Virat Kohli has so far scored 557 runs in 14 matches playing at a strike rate of 163.
If he is successful in scoring 43 runs in today’s match, he will become the first batsman in the world to score 600 runs in four consecutive seasons of IPL.
King Kohli had scored 639 runs in 2023, 741 runs in 2024 and 657 runs in 2025.Till now, apart from Virat Kohli, former great West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle, Australia’s David Warner and Indian cricketer KL Rahul have scored 600 or more runs in three consecutive seasons. But no batsman has yet done this four times in a row. Now Virat Kohli has a chance to make this record in his name.
