In fact, according to Pakistani media sources, “Sir Viv Richards has some media commitments for the World Cup. However, he is being talked to for this because Pakistani players have a lot of respect for him.”

In the T20 World Cup, Super-8 matches are to be played in West Indies and Richards' experience there can be very useful for the Pakistani team. For this reason, PCB is trying to include him with its team. However, now it will be interesting to see whether the former great player takes his offer or not. Let us tell you that even before this, Pakistan had included former Australian opening batsman Matthew Hayden with its team as a mentor for the 2021 and 2022 T-20 World Cup. The team had reached the semi-finals and finals in both these World Cups.

Let us tell you that Pakistan has not yet announced its team for the T20 World Cup. However, according to ICC rules, every country has to announce its team by May 25 and now they have only 4 days left for this. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see when the Men in Green team will be announced. Currently, he is on a tour of England, where the Green Army has to play a 4-match T20I series against the English team. It will start from 22nd May, whose first match will be played in Leeds.

Pakistan team has to play its first match in the World Cup against host America on June 6. After this, they have to face their arch-rival India on June 9, which will be played in New York.
