Kolkata Knight Riders received a special message to boost their confidence prior to of their crucial IPL Qualifier 1 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Surprisingly, Bayern Munich star Harry Kane, sent the KKR team a video greeting wishing them success in the decisive match.
“Hi, Kolkata Knight Riders! What a fantastic way to start the season. Best wishes for the rest of the season to all of the Knights. We are sending support, from FC Bayern Munich,” Kane stated in a video posted on X.
The co-owner of the KKR team and Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan will also be present in the stands on Tuesday.
Several images of SRK travelling to Ahmedabad with his son AbRam to watch KKR’s pivotal game appeared on social media on Monday, only hours after he cast his vote in Mumbai. It is predicted to be a clear day with little chance of rain. It should be mentioned that in the event that the match is cancelled, there won’t be a reserve day for Qualifier 1.
Prior to the playoffs, KKR finished the ongoing IPL season with 20 points on the points table. They won nine games and were given two additional single points due to washouts. Meanwhile, SRH (17 points) defeated RR (17 points) thanks to a superior Net Run Rate (NRR). SRH achieved a final NRR of 0.414, whereas RR’s was 0.273.
KKR will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first qualifier in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Then, at the same location, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will square off in the “Eliminator.”
