Despite a massive 55-run victory against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sunrisers Hyderabad did fall short of Qualifier 01.

After choosing to bat first, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma opened the innings while Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the bowling attack.
The duo made a decent start, scoring 45 runs for the 1st wicket. Rasikh Salam bagged the wicket of Travis Head for 26 runs on a brilliant yorker.
With Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma at the crease, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 63 runs in the power play. He smashed a 20-ball fifty and scored 56 runs before being dismissed by Suyash Sharma. He got dismissed on a googly, but missed the timing, and Jordan Cox bagged the catch.
Heinrich Klaasen came to bat at No.4 joined Ishan Kishan as the side aiming to post a massive total on Friday’s clash.
Ishan Kishan smashed his fifty off 31 deliveries as the side crossed the 200-run mark in the 16th over. Heinrich Klaasen smashed his fifty in 23 deliveries.
The duo forged a 113-run partnership for the third wicket before Krunal Pandya bagged the wicket of Heinrich Klaasen for 51 runs. He got dismissed on a catch from Venkatesh Iyer on a mid-wicket.
With Nitish Reddy joining Ishan Kishan at the crease, the duo maximised the death overs as the Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 255/4 at Hyderabad as the side posted one of the highest team scores in IPL history.
Ishan Kishan scored 79 runs while Nitish Reddy contributed 29* runs. Rasikh Salam bagged two wickets while Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya bagged one wicket each.
Chasing 256 run target, Venkatesh Iyer and Virat Kohli opened the innings while Pat Cummins opened the bowling attack.
The duo forged a brilliant start scoring 60 runs for the 1st wicket. However, Eshan Malinga bagged the wicket of Venkatesh Iyer for 44 runs. He got dismissed on a catch by Abhishek Sharma in long on.
Meanwhile, Sakib Hussain bagged the wicket of Virat Kohli for 15 runs. He got dismissed on a catch by Smaran Ravinchandran at covers.
With Devdutt Padikkal and Rajat Patidar at crease, RCB scored 75 runs in the powerplay. With the duo aiming to forge an innings, Eshan Malinga bagged his second wicket for 21 runs.
He got dismissed on a catch by Abhishek Sharma at deep mid-wicket. However, Rajat Patidar and Krunal Pandya are aiming to chase the total.The duo forged a 84-run partnership for the fourth wicket which included Rajat Patidar’s 56 runs.
Travis Head broke the partnership dismissing Rajat Patidar after a catch from Smaran Ravichandran at deep mid-wicket.
With Krunal Pandya and Tim David at crease, Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered a 55-run defeat.
Royal Challengers will play in the qualifier 01 against Gujarat Titans on May 26 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala.
Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on the fourth qualified team for the playoffs in the Eliminator on May 27 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.
