Double Blow by Corbin Bosch Puts KKR Under Pressure

A double strike from Corbin Bosch at intervals has put the Kolkata Knight Riders under pressure during the 148-run chase against the Mumbai Indians at Kolkata.

He bagged the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane and Cameron Green at frequent intervals put KKR at pressure on Wednesday’s clash.

After being invited to bat first, Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma opened the innings while Anukul Roy opened the bowling attack.

Cameron Green, who was introduced to bowling within the power play, bagged the wicket of Ryan Rickelton for 6 runs. He got dismissed on a catch from Manish Pandey after the batter got an edge at the cover point.

Cameron Green bagged his second wicket, dismissing Naman Dhir for a duck. He got outside edge on a full-length delivery, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi took the catch behind the wickets.

With Saurabh Dubey bagging the wicket of Rohit Sharma for 15 runs, the Mumbai Indians bagged three wickets for 22 runs. He got dismissed on full length delivery where he mistimes completely, and Cameron Green picked a tough catch.

Saurabh Dubey bagged the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav for 15 runs as the Mumbai Indians lost 4th wicket within the powerplay.

With Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya at the crease, the Mumbai Indians scored 46 runs in the power play. With the duo aiming to forge a partnership, the Mumbai Indians scored 57 runs before rain interrupted the game, which put a halt to the game at Eden Gardens.

Resuming the game, the duo forged a 43-run partnership before the dismissal of Tilak Varma for 20 runs. He got dismissed on a short ball by Kartik Tyagi and Anukul Roy completes a safe catch.

Soon, Sunil Narine bagged the wicket of Hardik Pandya for 26 runs. With Will Jacks and Deepak Chahar dismissal on run out and Anukul Roy respectively for 14 and 10 runs.

Corbin Bosch’s 32* run cameo put Mumbai Indians to post 147 runs in 20 over innings. Saurabh Dubey, Cameron Green and Kartik Tyagi bagged two wickets each.

Chasing 148 run target, Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen opened the innings while Deepak Chahar opened the bowling attack.

Chahar bagged the wicket of Finn Allen for 8 runs. He got dismissed on a back of length delivery outside off where an inside edge resulted in bowled out.

Corbin Bosch bagged the wicket of Rahane on a short delivery where Ryan Rickelton bagged the catch behind the wickets.

With Manish Pandey and Cameron Green at crease, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 51 runs at the powerplay.

Corbin Bosch bagged his second wicket dismissing Cameron Green for 4 runs. However, Manish Pandey and Rovman Powell forged a solid partnership stabilising the innings.
