Jaipur: The Indian Premier League (IPL) witnessed a tremendous storm from Rajasthan Royals (RR)’s young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi on Tuesday night. In the match played in Jaipur, thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s explosive innings of 93 runs and Dhruv Jurel’s unbeaten half-century, Rajasthan Royals defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by seven wickets. With this resounding win, Rajasthan Royals have reached fourth place in the IPL points table with 14 points.

Rishabh Pant’s 8 year old record destroyed

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has created history in this match. He has become the youngest player in the world to score 500 runs in a single season of IPL. By doing this, he broke the previous record of Indian star Rishabh Pant, who had achieved this feat for Delhi Capitals in 2018 at the age of 20. In the match, Suryavanshi scored 93 runs by hitting 10 skyscraper sixes and 7 fours in just 38 balls, while Dhruv Jurel played a brilliant inning of 53 runs by hitting 6 sixes and 3 fours in 38 balls.

“There was no hurry, the aim was to feel the pitch”

Revealing his strategy after the match, Suryavanshi said, “My mindset was clear. I know I can hit two-three boundaries or sixes at any time, so I wanted to take some time in the beginning. My focus was on pacing my innings and understanding the pitch rather than rushing.” At the same time, RR’s stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal called this victory the result of team work. He also praised the batting of Vaibhav and Dhruv as well as the brilliant bowling of Joffra Archer and Brijesh Sharma, which helped in restricting Lucknow to a big score.
