India’s Ravi Shastri, Ajit Agarkar, Cheteshwar Pujara and Irfan Pathan have been named in jury panel formed by the International Cricket Council to select the greatest international cricketers of the last 25 years.

The jury also includes David Gower, Ian Bishop, Mark Boucher, Carlos Braithwaite, Tom Moody, Greg Chappell, Matthew Hayden, Aaron Finch, Andrew Flower, Allan Donald, Faf du Plessis. Daniel Vettori, Ross Taylor, Shane Watson, Jonathan Trott, Tim Southee, Eoin Morgan and Shan Masood.

Agarkar incidentally serves at the chief selector of the Indian national men’s cricket team while Shastri (who has served as India head coach), Irfan and Pujara have successfully transitioned into broadcasting roles in international and domestic cricketing properties.

Pakistan’s under-fire Test captain Masood’s inclusion is particularly interesting given the country is staring at a second defeat in the ongoing Test series against Bangladesh. Sources suggest that Masood may be inclined to take up an offer made for the post of Director of Internatonal Cricket and Player Affairs in thge PCB.
