Uganda Cricket Team: Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has made a big announcement during IPL 2026. Uganda cricket team is about to visit India. On this tour she will play matches against different teams. A total of 8 matches will be played from May 18 to May 30, which include 4 ODIs and 4 T20s. This tour is an important step towards strengthening cricket relations between the two countries. ODI matches will be played against MCA Colts team. At the same time, T20 matches will be against different teams of T20 Mumbai League.
Recently a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between MCA and Cricket Uganda. The purpose of this agreement is to give new heights to the development of cricket in Uganda. This includes increasing opportunities for international matches, strengthening the high-performance system, creating better pathways for young players, exchange of coaching-technical expertise and promoting women's cricket.
This tour will start with ODI matches.
The first match will be played on May 18 and the second match on May 20 at Palghar Dahanu Taluka Sports Association Ground. Then the remaining two matches will be held at Adani Stadium on 22nd and 24th May. After this, the first T20 will be played at Dadoji Kondev Stadium in Thane on 26th May. The remaining 3 T20 matches will be held on 27, 29 and 30 May at Adani Stadium. During this period, the Uganda team will be captained by wicketkeeper-batsman Fred Achelam. Players like former Under-19 captain Fahad Mutagana, Enock Kasaija as well as Ronald Lutaaya and spinner Siraje Nsubuga are returning to the team.Fred Achelam (captain), Simon Ssesaji, Charles Musemeja, Ronald Lutaaya, Gerald Olipa, Anas Bag Mirza, Fahadh Mutagana, Juma Miazi, Kosmas Kyawuta, Joseph Baguma, Henry Ssenyondo, Siraj Nsubuga, Enock Kasaija, Dinesh Nakrani, Raghav Dhawan and Alpesh Ramjani.
