The ranking of the IPL 2026 Points Table has been visibly rocked after a master class by Virat Kohli at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur. Such a decisive demolition by Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Kolkata Knight Riders has seen them elevated to pole position.
While Royal Challengers Bengaluru, under Rajat Patidar, have already secured a comfortable position at the top of the table, the qualification chances for Kolkata Knight Riders are far more complex and could jeopardise their late-season surge.

Chasing 193, Virat Kohli pretty much took over the match with a batting masterclass.
His century (105*) was the real backbone of Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s win. The pitch wasn’t easy — the bounce kept everyone guessing — but Kohli made it look simple. He picked apart the Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowlers with expert timing and sharp shots. When the middle overs came, he shifted gears and made sure RCB posted a target that KKR just couldn’t chase. That century didn’t just win the game and grab two points; it proved again that Kohli is the most dangerous batter in this year’s IPL. Heading into the knockouts, that’s a huge mental boost for the table-toppers.
