Lucknow: The 70th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 was to be played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Guwahati. However, this match has been canceled due to rain and with this now all the top-4 teams have got their places. Let us tell you that due to the cancellation of this match, Rajasthan has suffered a huge loss because due to the match not being held, RR will not be able to finish in the top-2. Since the match was canceled due to rain, both the teams have been given one point each.

Let us tell you that it was raining continuously since the beginning of this match and after that when the rain stopped, the toss took place and the match was made of 7-7 overs. However, by the time the match started, it started raining again and after this the umpire decided to cancel the match. With this, the final league stage match of IPL 2024 got washed out due to rain. However, now further playoff matches will be played, in which four teams have already met.

If we look at the points table after the end of the league phase of IPL 2024, Kolkata is at the top with 20 points. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are in second place, who have 17 points with 8 wins in 14 matches. Apart from this, Rajasthan also has the same number of points but due to better run rate, Hyderabad has occupied the second position. So at the fourth place is Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who have made their place in the playoffs by defeating Chennai on Saturday.

With the league stage over, the first qualifier match will be played between Kolkata and Hyderabad on May 21 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Whichever team wins this match will directly qualify for the finals, while the team that loses the match will play the second qualifier. So the eliminator match will be played between Bengaluru and Rajasthan on 22nd May in Ahmedabad itself. The team that wins this match will face the team that loses the first qualifier in the second qualifier.
