Delhi: In the match against Gujarat Titans (GT), Rajasthan Royals (RR) young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi made another big achievement in T20 cricket. Vaibhav created history by achieving this record. He achieved the feat of hitting the fastest 100 sixes in T20 cricket.
In the match, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and chose to bowl first, but Gujarat Titans batsmen scored runs in an aggressive manner.
Captain Shubhman Gill played a brilliant inning of 84 runs, while Sai Sudarshan strengthened the team by adding 55 runs. Gujarat scored 229 runs by losing 4 wickets in 20 overs and set a tough target of 230 runs for Rajasthan.Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi started Rajasthan Royals chase of the target. In the very first over of the innings, Vaibhav completed 100 sixes in his T20 career by hitting a long six off fast bowler Mohammad Siraj.
This six proved to be a historic shot of his career.Vaibhav Suryavanshi completed 100 T20 sixes in just 514 balls and in this matter left behind the record of West Indies legend Kieron Pollard. Pollard had faced 843 balls to reach this milestone. Vaibhav has now become the batsman to hit 100 sixes in the fewest balls in T20 cricket.
At the age of 15 years and 43 days, Vaibhav Suryavanshi achieved this great achievement and made another record in his name. He achieved this milestone in the 29th innings of his T20 career and became the youngest player to hit 100 T20 sixes.
