Lucknow: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have shown excellent performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 and have also qualified for the playoffs. The team's batting has rocked this season and they have crossed the mark of more than 250 runs twice. This team is being considered a strong contender to win the trophy this time but former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif has exposed the major weakness of this team. This weakness of the team can become a matter of great concern for them in the knockout stage.

Kaif feels that Hyderabad does not have a good spin bowling attack and the final match is to be played at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. In such a situation, if this team makes its way to the finals, then the spin department can create a big problem for them. Let us tell you that Orange Army's batting is looking strong this year but their bowling has been a problem, especially their spinners have been seen struggling. While talking on Star Sports on this weakness of the team captained by Pat Cummins, Kaif has given a big statement.
He said, “If Hyderabad reaches the final and you want to win the title, then you will have to give a chance to the spinners. They do not have any spinner and have kept Mayank Markande out. The final match is to be played in Chennai and there you will get such wickets which will help the spinners. Hyderabad does not have any good spinner and they have an option in the form of Shahbaz Ahmed but have not used him. I see this as a big weakness of this team because the final is to be played in Chennai.”
If we talk about Hyderabad, they have qualified for the top-4 and now they will be seen in the knockout stage. The team is currently placed third in the table and if it ends its campaign in the league stage here, then it will have to face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the eliminator match, which will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. So, if they win from here then they will be seen playing in the second qualifier and this match will also be played in Chennai. Keeping this in mind, the former Indian player has given his reaction.
