After 4 consecutive defeats, Mumbai Indians finally registered a win at their home Wankhede Stadium. In their 'do or die' match of IPL 2026, Mumbai defeated the similarly struggling Lucknow Super Giants. Coming into this match in the absence of captain Hardik Pandya, Mumbai benefited from the return of former captain Rohit Sharma, who scored a strong half-century and made a century partnership with Ryan Rickleton.
