Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match No. 48 of the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. This reverse fixture promises to be an exciting contest, especially after CSK’s 23-run victory in their previous meeting. Currently placed sixth on the points table with four wins from nine matches, CSK will be looking to replicate that performance and complete a double over DC.

CSK openers have not contributed consistently as a pair, but individually they have delivered for the team. Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson has scored 315 runs in nine innings, while captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has led from the front with two back-to-back fifties and 245 runs in nine matches. Meanwhile, Urvil Patelhas played two games so far and has been impressive, scoring at a strike rate of 186.66.

Kartik Sharma found some form in the last game against MI, scoring a half-century, while Dewald Brevis is yet to find consistency and continues to search for runs. Meanwhile, Shivam Dubehas also struggled with the bat, and his fielding has been a concern, with a few missed chances proving costly. On the positive side, Jamie Overton has been the standout all-round performer for CSK, contributing 136 runs and picking up 10 wickets so far.

Additionally, Prashant Veer finally got an opportunity to bowl in the game against MI and will be looking to make a bigger impact with his all-round abilities in the upcoming matches.

Meanwhile, Mukesh Choudharyhas taken three wickets so far. With Ramakrishna Ghosh ruled out of the tournament, Gurjapneet Singh is expected to step in as Impact Player. He has claimed three wickets in five matches and will aim to make a stronger impact moving forward.
