Rajasthan Royals: IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals has been acquired by Lakshmi Niwas Mittal and Aditya Mittal along with Adar Poonawala. After this acquisition, he will now be the new owner of this IPL franchise. The Mittal family informed about the matter on May 3, stating that a final agreement has been reached for the acquisition of Rajasthan Royals from Manoj Badale and his consortium, in partnership with Adar Poonawala.

According to Moneycontrol report, Mittal family was already taking interest in Rajasthan Royals.
The reason for his interest was to strengthen his sports portfolio. Now he has turned his interest into reality. After this acquisition, Mittal family's stake in Rajasthan Royals will be 75 percent while Adar Poonawala will have 18 percent stake.
