A three-wicket haul from Arshad Khan has hit the spotlight in the brilliant Gujarat Titans bowling performance during the IPL 2026 game played against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 30 at Ahmedabad.
They bowled out RCB for 155 runs, setting up an easy path for the chase in Thursday’s clash.
After being invited to bat first, Jacob Bethell and Virat Kohli opened the innings while Mohammed Siraj opened the bowling attack.
The duo made a decent start, scoring 34 runs for the first wicket. Siraj bagged the wicket of Bethell for 5 runs, where Rashid Khan picked the catch at mid-wicket.
Rabada picked the wicket of Virat Kohli for 28 runs. He got dismissed on a short and quick delivery where the batter played across the line, but top edge made Rashid Khan picked the wicket at mid-wicket.
However, Devdutt Padikkal and Rajat Patidar stitched a decent partnership as the side posted 59 runs in the powerplay.
The third wicket came where Rajat Patidar got dismissed for 19 runs by Arshad Khan. He got dismissed on a short ball where he played for pull but got top edged and went back deep backward square leg.
Jason Holder picked the catch which was a close call as the ball seem appeared to touched the ground. However, umpires gave out as RCB lost three wickets for 79 runs.
Jitesh Sharma who came to bat got dismissed by a catch behind the wicket. He got dismissed for 1 on a outside off delivery where the ball got outside edge and Jos Buttle picked the catch.
Tim David who came to bat at No. 6 got dismissed by Rashid Khan for 9 runs. He got dismissed on a catch by Jason Holder at mid wicket. RCB was in deep trouble as the lost 5 wickets for 91 runs.
With Devdutt Padikkal on the other side, Krunal Pandya came to bat at No. 7. However, he got dismissed by Arshad Khan.
On the other end, Jason Holder bagged the wicket of Romario Shepherd for 17 runs after Sai Sudharsan tooke the catch in the deep.
Meanwhile Arshad Khan bagged the wicket of Venkatesh Iyer for 12 runs. He was caught out in deep by Sai Sudharsan. With Josh Hazlewood’s run out in the next delivery, RCB lost all 10 wickets for 155 runs.
Arshad Khan picked three wickets while Jason Holder and Rashid Khan bagged two wickets each.
