Rajasthan Royals will be on the road to face the high-flying Punjab Kings side in the IPL 2026 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.

The PBKS vs RR IPL 2026 match on April 28 will start at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST) and will be available to watch on live streaming and live telecast.

RR captain Riyan Parag will be hoping for a response from his team after a tough loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last outing in Jaipur last week, despite a 36-ball 100 by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

Rajasthan Royals have dominated the RR vs PBKS IPL head-to-head record, having won 17 of the 30 matches to date. Punjab has 13 victories to its name. Last season, the two teams split the honours with RR winning their away game in New Chandigarh and Punjab prevailing in Jaipur.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, with 357 runs in eight games, has been the Royals’ top batter in IPL 2026. The teenager already has two fifties and a century this season - the latter coming in the last match against SRH.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel have also been among the runs this season.

Jaiswal, in particular, boasts a good record against PBKS, having scored over 200 runs in eight matches at an average of over 42. He slammed fifties in both fixtures against Punjab in IPL 2025.

Jofra Archer has been in fine form with the ball for RR this season and is the team’s top wicket-taker with 13 scalps to his name. Ravi Bishnoi has spearheaded the spin department with 11 wickets.

Arshdeep Singh and Vyshak Vijaykumar have been the pick of the PBKS bowlers this season, but it has been their consistent batting displays that have been central to the team’s undefeated streak this campaign

Opener Prabhsimran Singh, captain Shreyas Iyer, Priyansh Arya, and Cooper Connolly have all scored over 200 runs this season, and each of the four has multiple fifties to their name in IPL 2026.

In fact, PBKS - last year’s finalists - pulled off the highest-ever successful run chase in IPL and T20 cricket history in their last game as they hunted down DC’s total of 264 to comfortably win by five wickets.
