Travis Head–Abhishek Carnage Lead SRH in Massive Run Chase vs Mumbai Indians

A solid start from Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma anchors Sunrisers Hyderabad in a 243-run chase against the Mumbai Indians on April 29 at Wankhede Stadium.

Mumbai Indians bowlers had no answers for the duo’s aggressive start in Wednesday’s clash.

After choosing to bat first, Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton opened the innings while Pat Cummins opened the bowling attack.

The duo made a solid start, scoring 78 runs in the power play. However, Will Jacks got dismissed on the first ball of the 8th over from Nitish Kumar Reddy.

He was caught out on an outside off delivery. With a swing in the delivery, Ishan Kishan picks the catch safely behind the wickets.

Suryakumar Yadav came to bat at No.3 and joined Ryan Rickelton aiming for playing a brilliant knock.

In the meantime, Ryan Rickelton smashed his fifty in 23 deliveries which included 5 fours and four sixes.

Eshan Malinga bagged the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav for 5 runs. He got dismissed on a short delivery where Abhishek Sharma take the catch.

Naman Dhir came to bat at No.4 and slowly buidling innings while playing along with Ryan Rickelton.

Praful Hinge bagged the wicket of Naman Dhir for 22 runs. He got dismissed on a slower delivery where Harsh Dubey took the catch at deep mid-wicket.

Hardik Pandya who came to bat went on to score 31 runs. In the meantime, Ryan Rickelton went on to score 44-ball century which included 8 fours and 7 sixes.

Sakib Hussain bagged the wicket of Hardik Pandya as Mumbai Indians lost 4 wickets for 221 runs. He got dismissed on a full and wide delivery where Pandya hit the ball at long off and Klaasen took a safe catch.

Praful Hinge picked the wicket of Tilak Varma for 7 runs on a full and just outside off delivery where he took a shot and Klaasen took the catch at Long off.

With Ryan Rickelton and Robin Minz at crease, Mumbai Indians went on to score 243 runs in their 20 over innings.

Chasing 243 runs, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head opened the innings while Trent Boult opened the bowling attack.

The duo scored 92 runs in the powerplay and continued the slaughter. Head who was out of form in the ongoing season, smashed 20-ball fifty and continued to bat aiming for a big score.
