He hit 51 sixes in IPL 2013 while 44 sixes in IPL 2011.

Abhishek Sharma holds the record for hitting most sixes in a single season of IPL among Indian batsmen. He hit 42 sixes in IPL 2024. But, it seems that neither Abhishek nor Gayle’s 14-year-old record is going to be saved in IPL 2026. That’s because Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s speed of hitting sixes is such.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has hit 37 sixes in the 9 matches played so far in IPL 2026, while he has hit only 34 fours.

Now assume that 37 sixes in 9 matches means 4 sixes in each match. Vaibhav Suryavanshi still has to play 5 more matches only in the group stage. If he hits 20 more sixes on the basis of 4 sixes in those 5 matches, then his total number of sixes in 14 matches will be 57.
