The 40th match of IPL 2026 will be played today between Punjab and Rajasthan in Mullanpur at 7:30 pm. Punjab team has been unbeatable this season and is on top in the points table. Apart from sharing one point in the rain-interrupted match against Kolkata, Punjab has won all its six matches. Under the leadership of captain Shreyas Iyer, the team has performed exceptionally well, in which the balance of both the batting and bowling departments has been seen. On the other hand, Rajasthan team has secured fourth position in the points table by winning five out of eight matches. The team has defeated strong teams like Lucknow, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gujarat and Chennai. However, the form of Rajasthan captain Ryan Parag has been a matter of concern.
