IPL 2026, LSG vs KKR: In the 38th match of IPL 2026, an exciting clash was seen between the teams of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). This match played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow reached the Super Over, where the KKR team managed to achieve a spectacular victory.
Lucknow Super Giants won the toss in this match and decided to bowl first. But Kolkata had a very bad start and the team lost 3 wickets in the powerplay itself. Mohsin Khan performed brilliantly for Lucknow, taking 5 wickets for just 23 runs in 4 overs. He shook KKR badly by dismissing Tim Seifert, Ajinkya Rahane, Rovman Powell, Cameron Green and Anukul Roy.
But here Rinku Singh batted amazingly, he scored unbeaten 83 runs on 51 balls, which included 7 fours and 5 sixes. Rinku made an important partnership of 50 runs in 27 balls with Sunil Narine for the eighth wicket. Thanks to his innings, KKR scored a respectable score of 155 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. This was also Rinku Singh's biggest innings in IPL so far.
In reply, Lucknow Super Giants also reached 155 runs. Captain Rishabh Pant scored the maximum 42 runs. At the same time, Aiden Markram scored 31 runs and Ayush Badoni brought the match closer by scoring 24 runs. But Sunil Narine and Varun Chakraborty bowled economical spells. Due to which the match turned towards KKR. In the last over, Lucknow needed 17 runs to win. Then the match reached 7 runs on the last ball, then everyone tied the match by hitting a six.
Lucknow batted first in the Super Over, but completely fell apart in front of the lethal bowling of Sunil Narine. Narine took 2 wickets for 1 run in just 0.3 overs. Whereas, Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten after scoring 1 run. In this way LSG's super over ended at 1/2. Kolkata got a small target of 2 runs. In response to which Rinku Singh hit a four against Prince Yadav on the very first ball and gave an important victory to the team.
With this, Lucknow had to face its 5th consecutive defeat. At the same time, Lucknow Super Giants have lost the sixth match out of 8 this season. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders have got their second win in 8 matches.
