LSG vs RR, IPL 2026: Rajasthan Royals produced yet another clinical bowling performance as they defended 159 comfortably against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana International Stadium on April 22, Wednesday to get back to winning ways in IPL 2026. The Super Giants’ batting unit continued to produce abject batting performances, falling 40 runs short as they crumbled to their fifth defeat, headlined by Rishabh Pant’s three-ball duck.

Here are the key moments from LSG vs RR IPL 2026 match

5) Riyan Parag’s dismissal for 22

Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag rut with the bat continued as he fell for 20 off 19 deliveries as the Super Giants broke a promising 30-run partnership with Shimron Hetmyer. With the Royals already losing three wickets, Parag’s wicket was a massive dent to their hopes.

4) Mayank Yadav’s missed catch

While right-arm speedster Mayank Yadav had a forgettable night with the ball, conceding 56 off his four, his performance on the field also left a lot to be desired. The 13th over of the innings saw the pacer misjudge a catch off Donovan Ferreria’s bat as the South African played a pull shot. While Ferreira made only 20 runs in the 19 balls he faced, he shared a valuable 33-run stand with Ravindra Jadeja

3) Ravindra Jadeja’s finishing act

Ravindra Jadeja came to the crease when the Royals were teetering at 62/4 and had taken the Royals to 159 at the end of the innings. With Mayank Yadav going for 36 in his three overs, Jadeja, who was set, hammered the 23-year-old for 20 runs in the final six balls of the innings to stay unbeaten at 43. The Saurashtra all-rounder’s innings was a huge difference on the night. He also picked up a wicket.

2) LSG’s wretched powerplay

Chasing a modest 160, albeit on a tricky surface, Lucknow Super Giants fell behind in the powerplay itself, losing Ayush Badoni, Rishabh Pant and Aiden Markram – all for ducks, crashing to 11/3 in 2.5 overs. The Royals smelt blood from there on and ensured to never let the Super Giants into a winning position.

1) Mitchell Marsh’s dismissal for 55

Mitchell Marsh reached his half-century off 39 balls with a six in the 16th over of the innings and was key to the Super Giants’ fortunes. But Marsh mistimed one in the same over off Nandre Burger’s bowling to perish for 55. After the West Australian’s wicket, it was just formalities for the Royals as they completed a clinical win.
