Double Blow! Delhi Capitals Lose Nitish Rana and David Miller in Flash

Delhi Capitals suffered a major blow as they lost the wickets of KL Rahul, Nitish Rana and David Miller in quick succession in the 243-run chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

After Sakib Hussain dismissed KL Rahul in the 10th over, Eshan Malinga bagged the wickets of Nitish Rana and David Miller on consecutive deliveries in the 11th over.

After being invited to bat first, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head opened the innings while Mukesh Kumar opened the bowling attack.

The duo made a decent start, scoring 67 runs in the power play.

Axar Patel brought the breakthrough dismissing Travis Head for 37 runs. He was dismissed after hitting a delivery into deep mid-wicket where he didnot get elevation on th shot. The ball went right down to Sameer Rizvi who was placed in deep mid wicket.

Ishan Kishan who joined Abhishek Sharma, went on to score 25 runs off 12 deliveries. On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma slammed his century after the side cross 150 run mark. Soon after his century, Ishan Kishan got dismissed on a run out.

With Heinrich Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma at crease, they went on to cross 200 run mark and aiming to post a massive total putting up tough target at Hyderabad.

By the end of 20 overs, Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen guided Sunrisers Hyderabad to post 242 runs in their 20 over innings. They also posted one of the highest team score in the IPL history.

Abhishek Sharma remained unbeaten with 135 runs off 68 deliveries while Heinrich Klaasen scored 37* runs off 13 deliveries which included 3 fours and 3 sixes. He scored

Only Axar Patel picked a wicket for Delhi Capitals while other bowlers went wicketless.

All the bowlers were expensive as they leaked runs more than 10 runs per over.

Chasing a 243 run target, Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul opened the innings while Dilshan Madushanka opened the bowling attack.

Madushanka bagged the wicket of Pathum Nissanka for 8 runs while KL Rahul and Nitish Rana stitched a decent partnership scoring 59 runs in the powerplay.

With KL Rahul being dismissed by Sakib Hussain for 37 runs, Nitish Rana went on to slam 57 runs off 29 deliveries before being dismissed by Eshan Malinga.

He also bagged the wicket of David Miller on a golden duck putting Delhi Capitals on tough spot as they lost four wickets for 107 runs.
