Abhishek Sharma scored a hundred and took two catches as Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated the Delhi Capitals by 47 runs in the Indian Premier League 2026. SRH have won four games so far, including three consecutive and are in the third position in the points table. Chasing a mammoth 243, the Capitals were restricted to 195 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs. Delhi have six points from six contests and are in fifth place.

Nitish Rana scored 57 runs off 30 balls, but his effort was not enough. He hit 7 fours and 3 sixes. KL Rahul (37 off 23), and Tristan Stubbs (27 off 16) got starts but were unable to carry on. Sameer Rizvi scored 41 in 28 balls, hitting two fours and two sixes in the process.

Eshan Malinga was once again the pick of the bowlers, taking four wickets. Harsh Dubey (3 wickets), Sakib Hussain (1 wicket) and Dilshan Madushanka (1 wicket) bowled well for Hyderabad.

Earlier, it was Abhishek’s show after Delhi skipper Axar Patel won the toss.

He added 97 runs with Travis Head (37 off 26) and 79 with Ishan Kishan (25 off 13). Abhishek remained unbeaten on 135 runs off 68 deliveries, including 10 fours and 10 sixes. His runs came at a strike rate of 198.52, and the 25-year-old is the current holder of the Orange Cap.

Heinrich Klassen was at his aggressive best, managing 37 not out in 13 balls, packed with 3 fours and 3 sixes.
