New Delhi. In IPL 2026, Kolkata Knight Riders finally broke their losing streak by defeating Rajasthan Royals (KKR vs RR). The biggest heroes of this victory were vice-captain Rinku Singh and all-rounder Anukul Roy, who led the team to a memorable victory in difficult times. While chasing the target, KKR team was in trouble. But Rinku Singh and Anukul led a spectacular victory and during this they also created history.

Rinku Singh and Anukul Roy completely changed the course of the match by making an unbeaten 76-run partnership for the seventh wicket. This was the second highest partnership for the seventh wicket or lower in IPL history. Before this, only in 2016, AB de Villiers and Iqbal Abdullah had an unbeaten partnership of 91 runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Gujarat Lions. Rinku Singh took up the responsibility and batted brilliantly. He hit some excellent shots, including an important slog sweep six, which completely changed the momentum of the match.

On the other hand, Anukul Roy also supported him fully. He batted with confidence against the fast bowlers and kept scoring runs continuously. Both the batsmen rotated the strike intelligently, targeted the right bowlers and never allowed the required run rate to increase much. By the last over, the match had completely tilted in favor of KKR. The team won with two balls remaining. Rinku Singh returned unbeaten after scoring 53 runs, while Anukul Roy played an important inning of 29 runs. In the match in which KKR’s defeat seemed almost certain, these two players converted it into a memorable victory on the basis of a brilliant partnership.

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers had laid a strong foundation for victory by restricting Rajasthan Royals to the score of 155/9. Varun Chakraborty troubled the batsmen a lot with his spin and variations, while from the other end, Sunil Narine kept the run rate in check. Both the spinners broke the back of Rajasthan’s batting in the middle overs and the team kept losing wickets continuously. However, Rajasthan Royals also made a strong comeback in bowling and put KKR under pressure by taking early wickets.
