IPL 2026 Updated Points Table: Punjab Kings beat the Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs in Mullanpur to go back to the top of the table and keep their unbeaten run intact. The victory has now cemented PBKS at the top as they are now on 11 points, three ahead of the second-placed Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Punjab Kings have now won five out of six matches, with one other game washed out.
LSG’s slide, meanwhile, has continued, with this being their third consecutive defeat. They have now lost four of the six matches that they have played and sit eighth, third to the bottom. Below them are KKR, who finally won their first match of the season earlier in the day with a four-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals.

Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly put up an utterly destructive 182-run stand off just 82 balls for the second wicket and that turned out to the difference as Punjab Kings beat the Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs. PBKS are hence now unbeaten after six games and have cemented themselves at the top of the table. LSG, meanwile, continue to search for answers to the puzzle posed by their star-studded batting lineup that is simply not firing.
Earlier, Rinku Singh led the way with an unbeaten 53 in 34 balls as he powered the Kolkata Knight Riders to their first win of the season after six matches without a victory. KKR beat Rajasthan Royals by four wickets in a match that swung one way to another multiple times before finally settling in favour of the hosts. KKR looked very close to suffering a sixth defeat of the season when they had been reduced to a score of 85/6 in the 14th over.
