The Indian Premier League 2024 hasn’t been good for some of the Indian players. Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya have struggled to perform for Mumbai Indians. While Rohit will lead the Men in Blue in the global tournament, Pandya is Sharma’s deputy.
Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson wants MI captain Hardik to show his class in the last game of the season as the upcoming T20 World Cup is not far away.
“Mumbai Indians have been disappointing this season. They have big players in the squad. They would want to put up a good show in front of the home fans,” Shane Watson said on JioCinema.
Hardik was appointed Mumbai’s captain for the new season but the performance levels showed no improvement.
“Hardik will have to step up in the last contest. He has to show his dominance as a captain. The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is not too far away,” Shane Watson added.
Watson said that Hardik has been disappointing with the bat in comparison to his performance for Gujarat Titans.
Pandya has scored 200 runs in the ongoing edition. He also took 11 wickets.
