The optional practice session denotes the beginning of India's official preparations for the fifth and final Test against England, set to commence on Thursday. India have secured the second practice slot for Tuesday. Following England's morning session, India's practice is slated to kick off at around 12:30 pm. It's a crucial phase as both teams gear up for the ultimate showdown amidst the snow-capped mountains.

India clinched the five-match series 3-1 and showcased a remarkable turnaround after losing the opening Test in Hyderabad. Triumphant performances in Vizag, Rajkot, and Ranchi affirmed India's dominance on home soil. Despite notable absentees like Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul (injured during the first Test), India thwarted the Bazballers with their exceptional performance. The victories solidified India's reputation as a formidable contender in familiar conditions.
