Delhi: In the 23rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team batting first failed to score a big score at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The entire team was reduced to 146 runs. RCB’s fast bowlers created pressure from the initial overs, the effect of which was clearly visible on Lucknow’s batting.

Despite one wicket falling in the powerplay, the team could only add 35 runs and after that wickets kept falling at regular intervals.

RCB’s bowling showed strength

RCB’s fast bowling unit performed disciplined throughout the match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood did not give the batsmen a chance to play freely with precise line and length in the powerplay. Even in the middle overs, RCB bowlers were successful in maintaining constant pressure, due to which Lucknow’s run pace came to a complete halt.

RCB achieved the target easily

Chasing the target of 147 runs, RCB made a restrained start and maintained control of the match on the basis of important partnerships.

The team achieved the target in the 16th over and won by 5 wickets. The batsmen fulfilled their responsibilities at the time of need and led the team to an easy victory.

Rajat Patidar praised the bowlers and fielding

After the match, captain Rajat Patidar praised the performance of the team’s bowlers. He said that winning the toss was beneficial for the team and the way the fast bowlers created pressure in the beginning was praiseworthy. Patidar also said that the variety in Krunal Pandya’s bowling was challenging for the batsmen and young bowler Suyyash Sharma also bowled with confidence.

RCB’s excellent performance in fielding also

The captain also praised the fielding unit and said that the team is constantly working on the intensity of its fielding. Players like Phil Salt made important contributions in the match by taking excellent catches. He said that the team is moving forward by focusing on each match.
