“As you can see he was on the bench for the last four (actually five) matches, but this is the IPL. If you are not in form you cannot retain your place. Ultimately the pressure is so high for the team that every match is as important as it is for us. And we did this, we won matches without playing him. I think whoever got the opportunity, Abhishek Porel has grabbed it with both hands.”
His performance in IPL 2024 was very ordinary
Team India's strong player Prithvi Shaw has given a very ordinary performance while representing his team Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. Due to which he had to sit out of the matches. This season he scored 198 runs in 8 matches at an average of 24.75. During this period, only one half-century innings has come from his bat.
