Delhi Capitals (DC) batsman Nitish Rana on Tuesday offered prayers at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain and participated in Bhasma Aarti. This temple visit of Nitish Rana comes amid his poor form in the IPL 2026 season. In the three matches played so far this season, Rana has scored only 20 runs, including an unbeaten duck.

In Delhi Capitals’ first match of the season, which was against Lucknow Super Giants, Rana scored 15 runs off 17 balls. After this he made a three-ball duck against Mumbai Indians, where he was run out.

But, in the third match of Delhi Capitals, Rana scored only 5 runs in 6 balls, and his team lost by one run. Rana was then ruled out of the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Ashutosh Sharma was replaced in the playing 11 of Delhi Capitals. Delhi had to face defeat in this match also.

So far, Delhi Capitals have played four matches, out of which they have won two and lost two. They are ranked fifth in the IPL 2026 points table with 4 points and their Net Run Rate (NRR) is +0.322.

Talking about Delhi’s recent match against CSK, CSK defeated Delhi by 23 runs on the basis of Sanju Samson’s brilliant century (115* runs, in 56 balls, 15 fours and 4 sixes) and Jamie Overton’s four wickets (4/18).

CSK, batting first, scored 212/2 in 20 overs. Samson and Ayush Mhatre (59 runs, 36 balls, 3 fours and 4 sixes) gave a great start to CSK. In reply, Delhi made some good efforts in their innings, with Pathum Nissanka (41 runs, 24 balls) and Tristan Stubbs (60 runs, 30 balls) putting up some fight, but excellent bowling from Overton (4/18) and Kamboj (3/35) did not give them a chance to win.
