In a recent interview on Sportskeeda, Gautam Gambhir talked about the top all-rounders in the world and also named Stokes while selecting players like Andre Russell and Cameron Green. After this, the host of the show jokingly asked Gautam Gambhir about the popularity of Stokes in Delhi.

Responding to this question, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mentor gushed, “Ben Stokes is people's favorite player in Delhi for all the wrong reasons. He should be their favorite for another reason because he is a quality player. “He has incredible quality.”

The pronunciation of Stokes' name is similar to a very popular abusive word in Hindi and due to this many times players keep taking the name of Ben Stokes both inside and outside the field. Not only this, many times Virat Kohli has also been seen using this abusive word while taking the name of Ben Stokes. Stokes himself had made fun of it recently.

Speaking further, Gautam Gambhir also opened up about his sporting career and why he decided not to become an all-rounder despite starting his career as a bowler. Gambhir, one of India's finest opening batsmen, said he wanted to focus only on his batting after opening the innings.
