Delhi: So far in the 19th season of IPL, many players have been punished by BCCI for violating the rules. Now the name of RCB’s star finisher Tim David has also been added to this list. David has been punished for ignoring the warning of the on-field umpire against Mumbai Indians on Sunday, 12th. Their share has been cut by 25%.
In fact, during batting, he was repeatedly checking the ball and telling the umpire about the change in its shape. Tim wanted the ball to be changed, but the umpire did not listen to him. On-field umpire Virendra Sharma had warned him several times not to check the ball, because according to the rules he could not do so. According to the rules, only the fielding team and the umpire have the right to check the ball. Members of the batting team cannot do this.
The umpire had also warned David, but despite this he was repeatedly tossing the ball in the air and checking its shape. This incident is also in the headlines. Now BCCI has taken action against David for this reason.
Australian all-rounder Tim David has been fined 25% of his match fee. This action has been taken against him for not following the instructions of the umpires during ball testing. However, it is yet to be officially announced by BCCI.
Tim David looked in very good form against Mumbai Indians. He scored unbeaten 34 runs in 16 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes and played an important role in making the team score 240/4. While chasing the target, Mumbai team was able to score only 222 runs losing 8 wickets and lost the match by 18 runs.
