Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are coming into this clash on the back of thrilling wins against Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals, respectively. Rishabh Pant's men will collide with Shubman Gill and Co. at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday, April 12.
Lucknow had a disappointing start to their campaign as they lost to the Delhi Capitals by six wickets. However, they won back-to-back matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Knights. Mukul Choudhary came of age in the last game against the three-time champions and single-handedly chased down 54 runs in the last four overs.
Meanwhile, the Gujarat Titans have played three matches so far and have only one win under their belt. They lost to Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals but defeated Delhi Capitals by a solitary run earlier this week.
Here is the best potential playing XI for LSG for their match against GT Top order: Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, Rishabh Pant (C & WK)

Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram's partnership hasn't seemed as formidable as last season.
While Markram has failed to convert his starts, Marsh has looked scratchy. Rishabh Pant also won his team one game with the bat. However, his batting performance has still not been as convincing as he would like. Middle order: Nicholas Pooran, Ayush Badoni (impact player), Abdul Samad, Mukul Choudhary

Nicholas Pooran hasn't managed to replicate his form from IPL 2025. However, a player of his calibre can turn things around with one good knock. He would want to spend a bit of time in the middle before going for the big hits. Ayush Badoni scored an important half-century in the last game, and that would have done a world of good to his confidence, especially after he was dismissed cheaply in the two games he played before that.
Abdul Samad has scored 54 runs at an average of 18 and a strike rate of 131.71 in three matches this season. He hasn't hit his straps as yet. All eyes will be on the latest young sensation in the IPL - Mukul Choudhary - on Sunday. He will want to build on his performance from the last game.
Lower order/bowlers: Manimaran Siddharth, Avesh Khan, Mohammed Shami, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Prince Yadav

Manimaran Siddharth has bowled in the power play and also in the back end of the innings.
However, he has managed to bowl with a decent economy rate of 7.88. Avesh Khan has bowled the difficult overs and shown a lot of guts and determination. Mohammed Shami's form has been very encouraging, as the veteran has not just picked up wickets but also bowled tight overs inside the power play. After three games, his economy rate is a mind-boggling 5.33.Digvesh Rathi made a strong comeback in the last game as he gave away just 25 runs and picked up one wicket. He will have a key role to play through the middle overs. Prince Yadav has also picked up five wickets in three games and has looked impressive.
Lucknow Super Giants predicted playing XI:Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (C & WK), Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad, Mukul Choudhary, Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan, Prince Yadav, Manimaran Siddharth, Digvesh Singh Rathi.
Impact Player: Ayush Badoni
