IPL 2026: 3 players yet to show their true potential (Source: CSK)
TheIndian Premier League (IPL) 2026 has already delivered its fair share of thrills, breakout performances, and match-winning brilliance. However, amidst the chaos and excitement, a few highly rated players have struggled to live up to expectations.
Whether it’s a lack of consistency, limited opportunities, or simply being out of form, these players have yet to showcase the true potential that made them the ones to watch coming into the tournament. As the league progresses and pressure mounts, the spotlight will remain firmly on these underperformers to turn things around and make a meaningful impact for their respective teams.
Here are 3 players who haven’t quite impressed in IPL 2026 so far: 3. Cameroon Green (KKR)

The most expensive overseas player in IPL’s history, Cameron Green has not lived to the humongous expectations at the Indian Premier League 2026 for Kolkata Knight Riders in their first three matches so far.
The Aussie all-rounder is yet to bowl for the Kolkata-based franchise, whereas the things are not going well for him with the bat, either.Green, in three innings so far, has scored a mere 24 runs for KKR, and yet to deliver a match winning performance for Ajinkya Rahane’s side. Despite bad form, Green remains one of the best exciting talents going around, and if he clicks, we can expect fireworks from his bat, especially on a good Eden Gardens wicket.
2. Sanju Samson (CSK)

The expectations were huge from Sanju Samson after heroics in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2026 for the Indian team.
He was also named the Player of the tournament for his stunning performances in the knockout stages of the competition. He was traded to Chennai Super Kings by Rajasthan Royals, and the expectations were huge from him. But, the things have been far from being perfect for him in IPL 2026 so far. Opening the batting alongside Ruturaj Gaikwad, the Kerala batter has had a horrid start to his CSK stint, scoring just 22 runs in three innings for the five-time champions.
His poor form has hit CSK hard, as they have lost three matches on the trot. So, if CSK wants to comeback to winning ways, Sanju Samson has to step-up and do the job for them. 1. Jasprit Bumrah (MI)Arguably the best pacer of our generation, Jasprit Bumrah is having a little slump in the ongoing IPL 2026 for Mumbai Indians. The expectations are always there from him, and most of the time, he delivers as well. But things have been very different for him this time.
In MI’s first three matches, Bumrah has gone wicketless in all of those, which is acceptable for a player as talented and gifted as him. Even though he bowled an economical spell against Delhi Capitals, he could not pick up wickets for his side. Against KKR and RR, he was a tad expensive. So, overall it has been a disappointing season so far for the experienced MI pacer, and has failed to deliver for his side.
