Because of which Bangladesh did not play the World Cup, Jai Shah taught it a lesson, took revenge like this

Bangladesh Cricket Board has been in the news for some time now. Bangladesh cricket team did not even participate in the 2026 T20 World Cup, when the post of chairman of the board was held by Aminul Islam Bulbul. But Aminul Islam Bulbul has now been removed from the board. Recently, the Bangladesh government dissolved the board and formed a new 11-member temporary committee, with former cricketer Tamim Iqbal as its chairman. Aminul Islam has opposed this decision, but he has got a big blow from ICC.

ICC taught a lesson to Aminul Islam

In fact, after this change in Bangladesh Cricket Board, Bulbul had written a letter to ICC demanding its intervention. He claimed that his appointment was made through a valid election and the new temporary committee is illegal. He alleged that the investigation report is not correct. He appealed to the ICC to protect the dignity of the elected board. But the ICC under the leadership of Jay Shah has rejected the request for help from former Bangladesh Cricket Board president Aminul Islam Bulbul. The ICC has rejected this appeal outright. Which is a big blow for Aminul Islam.

Serious allegations against Aminul Islam Bulbul

Let us tell you, Bulbul has been removed on the basis of allegations of election rigging, misuse and abuse of power. Besides, he is also accused of playing an important role in the boycott of T20 World Cup 2026. In fact, citing the order of the Bangladesh government, the Bangladesh Cricket Board had refused to play the match in India, which was a violation of the ICC Member Participation Agreement. Bulbul had openly supported this decision.

However, incidents of political interference in Bangladesh Cricket Board are not new. Even before this, Farooq Ahmed was removed after a no-confidence motion. Before that, Nazmul Hasan Papon had resigned after the change in government.
