Royal Challengers Bangalore continued their excellent start to the IPL 2026 season by winning their second consecutive match. Bengaluru, captained by Rajat Patidar, once again showed why it is the current champion. In its second match of the season against Chennai Super Kings, RCB scored 250 runs on the basis of explosive innings by all the batsmen including Tim David, which is the biggest score of this season. After this, the bowlers including Jacob Duffy and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also performed equally well and bowled out Chennai for 207 runs and won by 43 runs.

Bengaluru, which lost all three matches in the beginning of the last season at its home ground M Chinnaswamy, won both the matches this time.

After starting the new season with a successful chase of more than 200 runs against Sunrisers, Bengaluru also destroyed Chennai with its batting power on Sunday 5 April. RCB, which did not hit a single boundary in the first 3 overs, ended the match with 19 sixes and 14 fours.
