Delhi: Former Indian team batsman Ambati Rayudu has praised Delhi Capitals (DC)'s young wicketkeeper batsman Tristan Stubbs. Rayudu has described Stubbs as the next AB de Villiers. Stubbs' performance this season has certainly caught everyone's attention. He has batted brilliantly and played many big innings for his team.

38-year-old Ambati Rayudu while talking to Star Sports said, “Tristan Stubbs is an all-round package. He has bowled a beautiful over and the way he has been hitting the ball this season, he hits every length from the shorter ball to the fuller ball. I think he has tremendous talent. “He is great enough to become a good player like AB de Villiers.”

For your information, let us tell you that the 23 year old explosive batsman scored unbeaten 57* runs with the help of three fours and four sixes in just 25 balls at an excellent strike rate of 228.00 against LSG and took the important wicket of Ayush Badoni.

Stubbs has scored 378 runs for the Delhi team at an average of 54.00 and his strike rate has been 190.90, which includes three half-centuries. His highest score in this season was 71* runs not out. He has played 13 matches for DC.

Apart from batting, he has also made good contribution in bowling.

Additionally, Stubbs also contributed with the ball and took three wickets, with his best performance being 2/11. In the last three overs (18-20 overs) of the matches this season, he has scored 173 runs in 54 balls at a tremendous strike rate of 320.40. During this period, Stubbs was out only once and played only two dot balls. His innings included 13 fours and 15 sixes.
