IPL 2026: SRH opens winning account, beats Kolkata Knight Riders by 65 runs

IPL 2026, KKR vs SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad has also opened the account of victory in IPL 2026. Hyderabad gave a spectacular victory to Kolkata Knight Riders in the 6th match of IPL 2026. In this high scoring match played at Eden Gardens, SRH, batting first, scored 226 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs, but despite a good start, the Kolkata Knight Riders team could not do anything special. Due to which he had to face second consecutive defeat.

Hyderabad put a big score on the board

After losing the toss and opting to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad were given a stormy start by Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. Abhishek Sharma scored 48 runs in 21 balls and Travis Head scored 46 runs in 21 balls. Together they made an explosive partnership of 82 runs in 34 balls. After this, Heinrich Klaasen also made an important contribution by scoring 52 runs. At the same time, Nitish Kumar Reddy played an explosive inning of 39 runs, which took the team to this score.

On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders' bowling proved to be very expensive, but Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani did wonders. He took 4 wickets for 41 runs in 4 overs. Which included the wickets of Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen and Shivang Kumar. Amidst this explosive batting, Muzarabani was successful in proving his ability.

KKR batsmen flopped in run chase

While chasing the target of 227 runs, KKR had a good start, but wickets kept falling in between, but made the team lag far behind in the run chase. Even though Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 52 runs, he too was run out. Rinku Singh also could not go beyond 35 runs. Earlier, Finn Allen made a fast start and scored 28 runs in 7 balls, but SRH bowlers bowled tightly. Due to which KKR team was all out for 161 runs and lost the match by 65 runs.

Jaydev Unadkat took the most wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He took 3 wickets for 21 runs in 3 overs. Whereas, Ehsaan Malinga and Nitish Kumar Reddy managed to achieve 2-2 successes. Harsh Dubey also took 1 wicket in his name.
