Arjun Tendulkar, the son of the great Sachin Tendulkar, has joined Lucknow Super Giants for the Indian Premier League 2026. He is focusing on giving his best rather than thinking about playing for the Indian National Cricket Team. He recently spoke to Shubhankar Mishra and opened up on his future goals.

Arjun is renowned for hitting big shots and taking wickets when needed. He was associated with the Mumbai Indians, the five-time IPL champions, but the franchise agreed to trade him to LSG before the 19th season.

He was given three options and told to choose one from playing for India, becoming a star in the Indian Premier League, or simply living a life with contentment while giving his best.

He wants to give everything to the game without hurting or causing harm to others.

Arjun has lived under his father’s shadow since deciding to become a cricketer. He is looking to start a new chapter with LSG.

Arjun was signed by the Mumbai Indians in 2021, but with limited opportunities, he now hopes to play more games for his new team.

When asked about his chances at MI despite performing well with the ball, he said, “Everyone wants to play more matches, and no one wants to sit on the bench. We want to work hard and perform when we get chances,” he added.

Arjun also opined on the Impact Player rule in the IPL, saying that cricket should be played with 11 players. “There is no Impact Player rule in international cricket and other leagues. You should pick 11 players and play the game. I am not in favor of the rule,” he concluded.

Arjun was not included in the Playing XI in the first match against the Delhi Capitals, but there is a possibility of him featuring in a contest in the remainder of the league.
