Sameer Rizvi came good when it mattered the most. The right-handed batter scored an impressive fifty to take Delhi Capitals to a six-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League 2026. He amassed 70 runs off 47 balls and added over 100 runs with Tristan Stubbs for the fifth wicket as the Capitals crossed the finishing line in 17.1 overs.

Delhi were 26 for 4 at one stage while chasing 142, but Rizvi found an able partner in the form of Stubbs, who posted 39 runs of 32 deliveries. For Lucknow, Prince Yadav (2 wickets), Mohsin Khan (1 wicket), and Mohammed Shami (1 wicket) were spot on with the ball.

Earlier, the host franchise was dismissed for 141 in 18.4 overs, with Abdul Samad (36) and Mitchell Marsh (35) making useful contributions with the bat.

For Delhi, Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan were the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets each. Kuldeep Yadav dismissed two batters while Axar Patel added one scalp to his bowling figures.
