After the brilliant performance of the bowlers, Rajasthan achieved a spectacular victory thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s half-century in 15 balls. Rajasthan first restricted Chennai Super Kings to 127 runs and then won in just 12.1 overs. Due to which there has been a lot of benefit in the net run rate of the team.

Rajasthan Royals top the points table with 2 points and a net run rate of 4.17, while defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore are at the second position with 2 points and a net run rate of 2.9. Mumbai Indians are at third place with points and net run rate of 0.68.

The start of the tournament was very disappointing for Chennai and due to the crushing defeat, it is in a bad position in the points table. Chennai’s net run rate has become -4.17.

After the defeat in the opening match, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings are at eighth, ninth and tenth positions respectively. Whereas Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have not played any match yet.

It is noteworthy that in this match Chennai appeared to be a flop on every front. After being invited to bat first, the top order flopped and after that the sequence of wickets falling did not stop. Jamie Overton scored 43 runs in 36 balls and no one else could leave his mark.

After this, there was no one in place of Anshul Kamboj in bowling and on the personal score of 18 runs, Karthik Sharma dropped the catch of Vaibhav Suryavanshi which cost the team dearly.
