Cooper Connolly was Punjab Kings’ hero in their four-wicket win over Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2026. PBKS were cruising at one stage but lost 4 wickets for 5 runs, with pacer Praisdh Krishna dismissing three batters. However, Connolly kept his cool and added important runs with all-rounder Marco Jansen and Xavier Bartlett to take the team home. He amassed an unbeaten 72 runs off 44 balls, laced with 5 sixes and 5 fours.

Earlier, GT batters struggled to time the ball in the first innings and were restricted to 162/6. Shubman Gill (39), Jos Buttler (38) and Glenn Phillips (25) were the main contributors with the bat. For Punjab, Vijaykumar Vyshak (3 wickets) and Yuzvendra Chahal (2 wickets) bowled well.
