IPL 2026 RCB won the opening match. Mumbai Indians won in the second match. The third match was in the name of Rajasthan Royals. Nothing changed in the victory of all three teams. Same trend. Same pattern, which is fatal from IPL point of view. Because of which we have to say that it is bad for IPL for RCB, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals to win like this. Now you might be thinking that winning is a good habit. Of course, it's good to win. But the juice of victory of RCB, MI and RR is bitter for IPL. How, let us understand.
The first match of IPL 2026 was played between RCB and SRH. RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss of this match played in Bengaluru and gave SRH the chance to bat first. SRH scored 201 runs while playing first. In reply, RCB created a new record by chasing the target of 202 runs in just 15.4 overs. Despite SRH scoring 201 runs, RCB had a one-sided victory in the match. They won by 6 wickets in the first 26 balls.
The second match was between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. In this match too, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and put the Kolkata team in to bat first. Playing first, KKR scored 219 runs in 20 overs. Mumbai got the target of 220 runs.. it had never chased such a big score before. But did it in this match. Mumbai won this match unilaterally, creating the record of its biggest run chase in IPL.
The third match of IPL 2026 was between Rajasthan Royals and CSK. The toss of this match was won by Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag and CSK was put to bat first. CSK scored 127 runs. In reply, Rajasthan team achieved the target of 128 runs in 47 balls in one-sided manner.
There were 3 things common in the victories of RCB, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. The team winning the first three toss wins. Second, the team chasing runs in all three won. And in all three the victory script was written one-sidedly. These three common things are bad for IPL. Because, with this pattern of winning teams, cricket fans may get bored after a while. He may be disillusioned with IPL. For cricket fans, IPL means thrill and not one-sided matches, which makes it boring. In this way, not only will the popularity of IPL decrease but its television rating points may also be affected.
