IPL 2026: 1103 runs in just 3 matches, hit 61 sixes, yet this bowler became the hero of victory

The start of IPL 2026 has been absolutely explosive. Some explosive batting has been seen in just 3 matches. In the first two matches, there was rain of indiscriminate runs and a lot of sixes and fours were hit, which created the atmosphere for this season. Now it is expected that the bowlers will be in trouble throughout the season and the ball will be seen crossing the boundary again and again.

In the third match, 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi again hit hard with his bat. While indiscriminate batting has spoiled the gathering, the real heroes of victory have been the bowlers and this was proved in all three matches.

It rained runs in just 3 matches

In the win against Chennai Super Kings in Guwahati Rajasthan Royals The fast bowlers wreaked havoc. But before that, in the last two matches, there was a gathering of batsmen. In the very first match, current champion Royal Challengers Bangalore chased the score of more than 200 runs, while in the next match, 5-time champion Mumbai Indians chased the record 221 runs.

As far as Rajasthan is concerned, it bowled out Chennai for 127 runs but then achieved the score in 73 balls.

In these first three matches, batting failed only once. A total of 1103 runs were scored in the 6 innings of these matches, in which 61 sixes were hit. That means on an average 20 sixes have been hit in every match and 367 runs have been scored. Only after these matches, questions are being raised whether the bowlers are destined to hit only fours and sixes in the IPL this time too and is the league completely tilted in favor of the batsmen? But during this time something also happened, which was seen in a similar way in all these three matches.

Still the bowler became the star of the match

This is the player of the match i.e. the hero of the match of these three matches. Even though IPL seems to be more in favor of the batsmen, in the beginning of the 19th season, the fast bowler was chosen as the best player of the match in all the three matches. He is also not a superhit bowler, but such a fast bowler who generally does not get much attention.

First of all, New Zealand fast bowler Jacob Duffy (3/22) won this award in RCB's victory. Then in the Mumbai-Kolkata match, amidst the flood of 444 runs, experienced all-rounder Shardul Thakur (3/39) proved to be the star. Whereas Rajasthan's victory was ensured by its fast bowlers and here Nandre Berger (2/26) won the award.
