Chennai traded Jadeja for Samson

Chennai Super Kings had traded Ravindra Jadeja to Rajasthan Royals before the IPL 2026 auction. In place of Jadeja, he included former Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson in his squad. Sanju Samson could score only 6 runs in the first match for Chennai but Jadeja made a good start. Jadeja took 2 wickets for 18 runs in 3 overs in the match.
