According to the police, the accused has been identified as Ravindra, 35, originally from Rajam in Vizianagaram district and was currently living in LV Nagar, Gajuwaka. Ravindra was married, but he was having an illicit relationship with 29-year-old Monica, a resident of Visakhapatnam, for a long time. On Sunday, when Ravindra’s wife had gone to her maternal home, he had called Monica to his house.

Both were at home on Sunday afternoon, but by evening a heated argument started between them over some issue. In a fit of rage, Ravindra killed Monica by stabbing her with a knife. The accused packed some parts of the torso in a bag and threw it in a deserted area of ​​the city, while out of fear of being caught, he stuffed the rest of the body parts in the fridge of his own house.
