PL: This coach left after only 7 matches, the club fired him within 44 days, salary was Rs 25 crore

The new season of the Indian Premier League has started, in which many players will have a tough test. Also, this will be a tough test for all the 10 coaches. The future of the coach will depend on the performance of the team. However, despite a bad season, there is almost no possibility of any coach leaving midway.

At least not after just 7 matches. But this is common in football leagues around the world and the latest example of this was seen in England where Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur dismissed its coach within just 44 days.

Took command of the club in February itself

On Sunday, March 29, famous people of London, the capital of England football Club Spurs announced the removal of its coach (manager) Igor Tudor. Igor was appointed the manager of the club's men's team last month i.e. in February itself, but Tudor was removed only after taking charge of the club in a total of 7 matches, including 5 matches of the current Premier League season.

Croatian coach Tudor got this responsibility in place of former manager Thomas Frank, who was fired from the job in February itself. While Frank was dismissed by the club within 9 months, Tudor could not even last 9 weeks or 9 matches. Tudor was appointed only till the end of the season and it was expected that if the team's performance improved, he would be given the responsibility of the club for the entire next season but this did not happen.

Tudor failed to improve performance

During Tudor's tenure, Spurs played 7 matches in all competitions but the team won only one match in the Champions League.

In this too, the team lost 4 out of 5 matches of the Premier League, while 1 was a draw. The decision to remove him was taken only after the 0-3 defeat against Nottingham Forest. With this defeat, Spurs dropped to 17th place in the Premier League table and are just 1 point away from the relegation zone.

In such a situation, to avoid relegation, the club has also decided to remove Igor Tudor and his assistant coaching staff. According to reports, Tudor was signed by the club on a contract worth around 2 million pounds (including bonus) i.e.

around Rs 25 crore. Now the wait is on who will be the new coach of the club. At present, the management of Spurs has not made any announcement regarding this.
